About

From the time that I could put pen to paper I knew that writing felt good. The sleekness of a pen against the sides of my fingers, the seamless flow of ink across clean paper, the smooth curves and bends and loops that combine to form the written word…writing is a dance (a seductive one). After all, there’s nothing sexier than a blank piece of paper and a good pen.

After graduating summa cum laude from Morehead State University (Go Eagles!) in 2007, with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology/criminology, Kimberly Back was seduced by writing. Initially, her pursuit of freelance writing employment was the means to solidify her stay-at-home wife and mom status, but, after a heavy dose of creative juice and the taste of her first byline, she realized that writing is as much her life’s passion as it is her career choice.

Since 2009, Kimberly has been published in The Times-Tribune newspaper, and to and through numerous websites and media companies, including EduBook, eHow, AnswerBag, TextBroker, Zenedy, WAHM, Stage of Life, Skinny Mom and Pangea Media. Currently, Kimberly is working to build her online presence via social media and website projects while dipping her toes into the fiction writing pool. Her first novella, Let Go the Light, will be available on Amazon in the coming weeks. Kimberly Back currently resides in Barbourville, Kentucky with her husband and daughter.
